  • Karen is a life long native of Westchester born & raised in The Tarrytowns/Sleepy Hollow. She went to school in Dobbs Ferry, studied Art History at Manhattanville College.
  • She had her real estate license at the age of 18, and worked for a prominent real estate office in The Tarrytowns.
  • She then pursued her entrepreneurial ambitions when she was a founder of one of the leading companies of the American Food Revolution of the 1970's - Homarus, Inc. based in Mt. Kisco, New York. They were famous for their Smoked Salmon & Seafood Specialties. From the LL Bean Smoker in the backyard to a National and International company, Karen knows how to present herself and her clients and use new and innovative marketing tools to get the job done.
  • Awards include: "Entrepreneur of the Year Award" Ernst & Young and Merrill Lynch in 1995, the "Blue Chip Enterprise Award" from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in 1991, the "Castle Award for Entrepreneurship" from Manhattanville College in 1990, the New York University "Woman of the Year Award in the Foodservice Industry" in 1985, and the Roundtable for Women in the Food Industry "Woman of the Year Award" in 1983.
  • What Karen brings "to the table" now is her vast marketing experience, insistence on impeccable service for her clients and her expert negotiating skills.
  • Karen is active in the Katonah Schools. She has two children and is the Office Liason to the School Board.A member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church and their Parish Council.She has been active in both the Boy & Girls Scouts with Americares Projects for the children. Karen performs w/local singing groups,enjoys studio dance, knitting, cooking. She is also a Docent at the House Museum of Caramoor.
  • Karen retains her membership in the honorary Food & Wine Society, "Les Dames d'Escoffier." She is also a lifetime honorary member of Roundtable for Women in the Food Industry.
  • Karen was the recipient of two top awards in the Floyd Wickman Real Estate Course. In a class of 65 she received the "Top Overall Producer Award" plus "The Shining Star Award" for overall excellence.
  • Karen also wrote a popular Real Estate column in "The Bedford Record Review."
  • Karen is a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, the New York State Association of REALTORS® and the Westchester County Board of REALTORS®
